Frequently asked questions...

1. What is the cost to me as an agent/advisor?

Currently, there is no cost for independent licensed insurance agents. That isn't a misprint, and there is no catch. A key reason this training has been created is to advocate for the responsible use of IUL in life insurance planning, financial planning & retirement planning. Agents and advisors deserve better training to become more equipped! 

2. Do I need to get contracted to access this training?

The simple answer is no, but you can request contracts if you need full support or prefer to have contracts in place. Contracting is optional, but you will need contracts to write IUL business! To access this training, you'll need a valid email address. Mr. Brown wants to get this training to insurance agents & financial advisors who desire quality IUL training. If you're delighted with your current FMO/IMO, it's probably best to stick with them. However, if you're looking for someone to support you and your IUL business, then consider working directly with Jason and an established IMO!    

3. Which insurance companies do you represent and/or suggest?

We have arrangements with several carriers offering IUL products. Remember, not all insurance companies and products are created equally. This is especially true when it comes to Indexed Universal Life! IUL products can vary significantly in terms of costs, features, performance, pricing, renewal rates, compensation, and underwriting. Our current IUL lineup consists of Allianz, Americo, Ameritas, Columbus Life, Corebridge Financial (formerly AIG), F&G Life, John Hancock, Kansas City Life, Lincoln Financial Group, Mutual of Omaha, Mutual Trust Life, National Life/LSW, North American, Protective, Securian Financial, Symetra Financial, and Transamerica. The average first-year commission ranges from 90% to 100% or higher, plus excess and renewals when you start. 

4. How long is the training and who should participate?

The complete IUL training series currently contains over six (6) hours of actual training. We refer to this as the “core” program. It is ideal for insurance agents who are brand new to IUL or at an intermediate level. However, anyone interested in selling IUL is welcome to participate! For example, annuity producers and investment advisers can also benefit by incorporating IUL into their business model. This training has been designed with convenience in mind. Anyone who participates in the IUL training can progress at their own pace and never have to travel to access the training. All that is required to participate is a computer, an internet connection, and some speakers. Theoretically, the training could be completed in a single day or spread out over several days or weeks to accommodate individual schedules. 

5. Who conducts this IUL training?

Jason Brown created the training. He began his career in the insurance & financial services industry in 1996 at the Age of 21. He obtained his Life, Accident, Health & Variable Annuities insurance license in 1997. In the summer of 2017, Jason rolled out this training through a series of live webinars. The feedback and results became “proof of concept.” His primary expertise is in the areas of Life Insurance and Annuities. Mr. Brown's passion is educating and training other insurance agents and financial advisors who want to gain a deeper understanding of these insurance products.
